A New Studio

Guess what….

No I’m not moving..Not yet. I just wanted to show you my newly cladded studio. I absolutely love it. It was starting to look a little bit shabby. It had already been rendered when we moved in to the house. It was a lovely peach colour (!). I painted it, what I thought was grey and it turned out to have a purple hue.

I started to alter it by painting the doors and windows in Farrow and Ball’s Purbeck Stone grey.

Then the exciting bit started. I chose a Scottish Larch wood that had been treated. If I left this it would eventually go a silver grey but….

..although I love the natural wood, it didn’t sit well with the house, so I decided to paint it ‘Railings’ by Farrow and Ball.

It took quite a few coats, but I’m really pleased with how it turned out. The finished studio looks perfect with the house.
